i have a problem, when i arm my alarm my central locking unlocks my doors. i then have too lock the doors with my keys too lock my car. has any one had this problem before.
i also found if i detach the central locking actuator on the drivers side and use my key both doors can be locked or unlocked.
does any one know if the ej8 had actuators installed for single door operation standered using keys only?
yeh a similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago. i pulled the door trims off and had a look at the central locking system. it turned out the passanger door rod was loose, so when you locked it the passenger side didnt lock, therefore the drivers unlocked itself. but the alarm worked fine otherwise.

yeah both rods are tight, was the first thing i checkd
either there is no power from the alarm ie signal from the alarm that drives the relays to power your driver's door solenoid, or the relays are faulty, or there is a break in the wire going to the door; or the door solenoid is dead.
you can try hooking up direct +12vdc to the door solenoid to see if the solenoid is dead or not and go from there.
by turning the key manually on the driver's door, the microswitch on the driver's door tells the passenger door to lock and unlock as per the factory intended.

fixed it. had the car at the panel beaters and the had switched wires and didnt adjust the central locking back to the rite place on the rods for the locks.
