Passenger door courtesy Light

Hey all,

Just brought my car home from the panel beaters and i noticed the courtesy light doesn't stay lit on the driver's side door when it's open at the first notch or further. It comes on when you first open it, but once it gets to the first notch it switches off. I'm hesitant to bring it in the panel beaters again to get it fixed as i'm unable to easily bring my car in during business hours...:o anyone know if there's a sensor for the door notches and if it'll be an easy DIY fix?

Sounds like its a wiring problem. Could be that they disconnected the light and have not connected it properly. If its not connected properly it prob becomes loose as the door opens.

Would simply be a matter of taking the inside door trims apart and checking the connection.

Other than that i can only think that the wires get kinked as the door closes, could be wrong though.
