Hey guys my mate has bought a EK but doesnt like the cluster.. he was wondering if he could change it with the revs? like vtir has or gli... but does it have to be a EK cluster or can it be a any honda cluster

i think with the ek u can only swap with ek but u got gli vtir and type r u can swap with. you can put any cluster u want just depends how deep your pockets are ;]

honestly his pockets are deep but he hates the standard ek cxi cluster cause theres no revs.. so yeah he wants sumthing with rev also looks nice not old :D

the ek gli cluster should go well with the cxi cluster as i think they uses the same engine afaik. the ek vti revs are different to cxi due to different engine.

you can put GLi, VTiR, even EK9 Type R, no problem whatsoever. because you are using the same plugs. even EM1's can fit good. just less one plug.

There's actually a DIY in the DIY section that tells you how to swap the cxi cluster for the gli one and keep your odometer by swapping the spedo.

why not save some time and stuffing around and just get a aftermarket tacho, or when you get the VAFC2 for the engine it should display revs/speed anyway, failing that get an apexi RSM, its a digital read out u put in front uf ur cluster that tells u rev/speed

u will want oil pressure and temp for vtec operation as wel eventually

true but he doesnt want tachos or gauges as yet.. just wants a decent cluster that look snice.. casue theres only 3 things in the ek cluster the speed.. the temp and the fuel.. looks ugly mang so yeah... he was wondering if he can put either dc2r cluster or dc5r cluster into his EK??>?

If he's gonna do the dc2 dash conversion he may as well do the cluster as well. And yea i'm pretty sure i've seen dc5 and s2000 clusters in civics b4. It just all comes down to knowing how to wire it.

rofls ^^^^^^ yeah if his got deep pockets s2k dash ftw! digital tacho looks pretty hectic! although his gonna need alot of grunt to back that cluster! but yeah any ek cluster should be rpetty much plug and play! ;]
