Hey guys, i got alpine type-r's front split and rear coaxial which are at 300watts 100rms each. How much power does my 4-channel amp require to run them all?

you can safely run 100rms to each of them at your level of experience (thats 100w rms per channel),theres ways around it,calculations that can be done, box sizes that can be made, frequencies that can be set to change this, but it will absolutely do your head in,im not at the level of understanding to explain it,maybe some1 here is.

just keep it simple,100w rms to each speaker and your safe, and trust me that is alot of watts, will be quite loud.dont think you HAVE to put 100 watts to them though.if your amp puts out 100w per channel, and the speaker starts distorting at 3/4 gain (basically 75w) then dont go any further, distortion sounds bad and ruins speakers

how much power your AMP requires??

i think i know what u meant.. preferably you'd want 100 or more rms to each speaker. do u NEED that much power to your speakers?? nope. for 95% of people around 50 rms is plenty loud enough. how often do you listen to your music on FULL MAX volume?

if you can afford it get a 100 rms (or more) 4chan, or even better, a more powefull and higher quality 2chan ;)

if u can only afford a 50 or 60 or 75 or so then dont worry. just set the gains right and don't push the amp into 'clipping'

yea that amp should do well mate!
just make sure you set the gains correctly and it should give you the power the speakers need.
