if i had the money...

toda racing 4-1 header
metal cat
spoon b-pipe
spoon n1 muffler

i think it was tested a while ago in a thread that toda headers promote the most power.

------

you might need a good exhaust, but intake is just a important...
no point having a hi-flow exhaust setup if you engine aint getting a sufficient amount of air...

As far as I know the only Toda header available for B series is 4 - 2 - 1 .

Toda or Mugen, if you want the best power output.

4-2-1 if you want mid range performance, 4-1 if you want top end performance.

I'll be soon running full 5Zigen. we'll see how's that like.

b18c block -

Balanced twice and Blutprinted
Honed..
bored sleeves - forgot to what size >_<
Eagle rods + ARP bolts
DC2 Type R bearings
82.25 Pistons - custom circlips in pistons
lightend machined flywheel
5 plate brass button clutch with a heavy duty exedy preasure plate..
OR
3 puk ceramic clutch

(deciding which to put in )

for the head, at the moment we basically have a stock vtir teg head.. but im going to most likely be going for this package..

Buddyclub -
spec III+ cams intake and exhaust
Racing Spec valve springs
Racing Spec Ti retainer
Racing spec cam gears
then later port and polish.. - when i have extra money left >_<

from the sound of this thread for the exhaust ill be going with DTR (4-2-1) + spoon
also bigger fuel pump, then s300 ..

Why not go 84mm B20?

For the head, try to search on rocket Cams and supertech valve train... we have good success with this combo...

Supertech flat valve + valve springs +retainers around under 1k landed. Since its getting a rebuilt might as well do it one time. So save abit more do the porting out of the head.

Try those big tube tri-y headers, can be had for $600 AUS. The DTR units are about $1400-1500AUS landed.

What are you intentions of building the b18c i.e what will it be used for?

The car will most likely be used for track but will still be taken down the strip... wanting to pull very low 13's.
The head sounds pretty good, were can I find links to the item?

I'll probably try those headers and spoon exahust..

you probably don't need to go through all that trouble if you just wanna pull low 13's in your EG.

There's already guys on the forums hitting 12's on a stock JDM b18CR with good bolts ons, tune and slicks.

then I guess with the mods I want to do I + bolt on and slicks im looking at lower than low 13's? The lower the better.. The blocks already done.. why not add the head?

Spending heaps of money on mods to compensate for a lack of skill??:p

good luck with the build

umm excuse me? how can you try to speak about skill if you haven't seen me drive? I brought the block for and head for a very cheap price.. and have not run many cars down the strip - does not mean I cannot drive.

thanks for the luck on the build but please do not judge what you do not know.

12.9 sec to be exact.
EG hatch with :b18cR + DTR 4-2-1 open header , custom intake , crome ecu.
22x8x15 slicks .

One hella fast B series from melb:thumbsup:

If your after max power, and it seems like this engines going to be at the top end all day long, should probably look at a good 4-1 instead of 4-2-1 imo.
