I would like to know what you can sell and what you cant sell as a personal item? Say if you trial and error mods on your own car and continually do so and dont like the end result can you sell it in the for sale section? Or would this be considered as commercial sales?

If you buy something for yourself, then thats classified as a personal item.

Commercial is when you buy in bulk, or persistently buy from some kind of supplier, in order to sell for profit.

Copy? :)

I can't really think of an item in which this scenario would apply..

I wouldn't classify commerical sales at as low as two.

What OzH doesn't want to see is people circumnavigating Trader Policies, in which a Trader effectivelly becomes a Supporter of OzH.

If someone wishes to sell their goods or service, they should become a Supporter.

If you happen to have a number of the same items, I don't see why you couldn't sell them; so long it wasn't say.. "Hi, I'm selling a box of Spoon Socks, each box contains 20 pairs", or the ilk.

If you hapen to have say up to 4 of the same item, justifiably collected over say a few months or years - That should be fine.

But hey, I'm no Mod :)

basically if you buy something with the intention of selling it here for profit then no, you need to be a trader. If you had something on your car you wanna change/or never got around to fitting it and want to get rid of then that's fine, use the "Parts for Sale" section for it.

Any item that is your private item is fine.

Multiple items or signing up just to sell will also be classed as commercial. We review each user on a case by case basis.

Commercial, is buying with the intent to resell for profit.

Private/personal is when you buy for yourself to use.

I hope that makes sense to you as i really dont know how much clearer i can be LOL

So its pretty clear then that if you have items that you tried and tested on your car and are moving on to other parts not that you need explain yourself to everyone then its fine to post as a private for sale item. Just need to clarify this with the boss.

Possibly. However it will be hard to prove that it has been 'tried and tested' on your car.

There are a few users on here who are clearly related to a business and are selling items 'as their own'. We are in the process of cracking down on them. Like I mentioned above.....we treat it on a case by case basis.

I see what you mean that other people are selling on behalf of others. Lots of little holes in the system.
