Afternoon all.
With the change from the MY03 WRX to the 2005 Odyssey, it's time to join some new forums and meet some new people.
We've just changed cars to cope with the seats and space required to move a newly expanded family of four and the necessary related crap around Sydney. With that in mind, we'd just picked up a 2005 Odyssey Luxury second-hand.
The one that we bought came with parking sensors (that I'm sure can see dead people and need fine tuning), and a OEM roof mounted DVD complete with the wireless headphones (and a modulator switch in the glove box). The main function that the DVD player seems to fulfill at the moment is sqeaking and rattling a bit, however my investigations thus far suggest that some foam tape may resolve.
I've been involved in fiddling with cars (http://carpc.riposte.net), car audio and various forums for a while, so fiddling with the toys in the dash is a plan.
Setting the car on a set of 18's or 19's is the other part of the plan at this stage. Don't think that suss or body kits is part of the plan - the other half is keen to finally have a car that she doesn't need to inch up and down driveways or over speedhumps. Hopefully it won't look silly on the new bigger wheels. Recommendations regarding wheel size, offset and rim width (and tyre recommendations to match) are welcome!
I look forward to learning more about the Odyssey, Honda's and meeting some new people over time.
w00t!
