i have other more technical questions but i am holding off on those to put them all in one thread

i am looking at building an engine, either from the ground up or from an existing one

i think it will be a b16a2, as i have already played with the b18c and i want something a little different, and im actually partial to having a less powerful motor =)

the question i am faced with is, if i do build it... what will i put it into??

i originally wanted to put it in my EG8 sedan, but after a while i thought its still gona be a EG .. and i have had it for a while - bit over it

i like the EK shape, coupe and hatch so that is one option
another thing has come to mind though..

i have seen people build kit cars... much like the clubmans etc and put honda motors in them, another good example of this is the Atom, 2.0ltr K20a supercharged in a kit style shell

i would like to do personal time trials and maybe one day road liscence it for hill climbs, of course another issue with going this way is liscencing... an EK will be alot easier to get on the road

does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? can offer any info, links or advice?

nobody done this at all?

considering the response on the kit car idea, does anyone have any info or opinion on rebuilding/building an engine from the ground up?

What im unsure about is ur budget, because anything can be done.

The EG chassis is the cheapest of the lot.

We have built many lotus k20a's and have them homologated with the euro4 ecu package.

You need to work out a budget, and what chassis u want to suit ur goal!

i know its going to cost money but i dont want to have to sell my liver to fund the project

my DC2 was a money pit, i spent all my money on it and got the best of everything u can get and i lost it all and the money

so this time i am going to do it alot slower... start with pulling apart the motor and buy the parts as i need to put it back together again, its going to be a very long term thing, last time i rushed it all and didnt take the time to enjoy it

the reason i am doing this is more for my enjoyment, not big gains or good looks, i just need something to keep me occupied and have fun with =) i know alot about hondas and i want to put that into practice =)

i would like to get a EJ/EK for road use if i am going that way but i wanted to explore options for building a kit car

also if anyone has had an experience with pulling a whole car or motor apart and rebuilding it i would appreciate any info or advice =)
