well i was wondering whats the diff ok
well people have been sayin that the integra dc5 has the econoy vetc thats kicks in at 2200rpm which i belive and stuff

but i was wondering does the euro have that type of vtec? or doe sit have the type r vetc with 2 cam lobes, intake annd exhaust vtec whereas the dc5 base has only the intake vtec...

im realising how bad the dc5 base is...well not the best

From what I gather, the Euro has a combination of economy VTEC and the Type R's VTEC. I read somewhere (can't remember where) that at low revs and low throttle, one intake valve is shut, for better mixing to get better fuel economy. This is similar to the economy VTEC on Honda Jazz 1.5 VTi. Can anyone confirm this?

Then, at 6000 rpm, there is a change in cam profile, thus increasing the valve lift. This is like the Type R's VTEC. There is also continuous cam phasing on the inlets, like the DC5R.

The Jazz uses the original single cam vtec setup, whereas the K20 and K24 uses i-vtec which is a constantly variable system

That's the extent of my knowledge

The euro K24 (k24A4?) i-vtec system is the same as found on the AUSDM/USDM DC5R and UKDM CTR (k20A2), JDM DC5R (k20A) and JDM CTR (k20A1). Vtec on both intake and exhaust cams aswell as continous phasing. I believe the lack of peak hp in the euro can be attributed to conservative tuning and cam profiles, lower C/R and crappy I/H/E. It also produces its peak power at 6800rpm instead of the Ausdm k20A2 at 7400rpm because of its increased stroke.

^^nice explanation of the euro system and the single cam system used on the 2.4L regular accord, odyssey and crv.

As above.

It is really only the SOHC- VTEC engines that are for economy. DOHC-VTEC is generally for performance.
