Got this write up from AccordTuner.
seafoam is, in essence, denatured alcohol. it was invented in the 1930s to clean marine gear, but has been used on all types of engines from the time it came out. It cleans carbon deposits in the engine, which causes a smoother idle, better throttle response, and better gas mileage.
the most correct way that i've seen it is to let a vacuum hose suck it into the intake manifold. you can use the brake booster or the pcv valve hose. i used the pcv valve hose since it's easy-access. here's a mini DIY:
The can looks like this:

You pour 1/3 of the can into a cup like this:

Then you undo this clip, pull the hose off of the brown pcv valve, and let the hose suck the seafoam into the intake manifold:

Then, wait 15-30 minutes, start the engine up, and rev it. After revving and whatnot, take it for a quick drive to make sure it's done smoking.
