hi, im recently wanting to purchase a single din headunit for my EK.
i dont intend to run an amp or sub, atm i just have sony speakers front and rear.
pretty much what im after is a cd/mp3/wma headunit that provides ease of use in searching through mp3 files/folders, usb/memory card slot or aux input i would prefer but isnt necessary. from the design perspective alpine, pioneer seem nice but i dont know which model would best suit.

any advice would be great.
dont have a set budget, but obviously cheaper the better, though roughly around $300?

out of them 2 brands, with a budget of 300ish, id pick the 9884, 9886 or the 9887 if you can get it that cheap. doesnt sound like u need a comprehensive h.u tho so the 1st two should be fine for your needs.

go to the place u got ur alarm installed simon... they have JVC with the features u want for a good price!
i just got one but im not sure which model on top of my head... but its got USB as well which i found to be a great feature!

Can vouch for alpine!! Have got a 9887 in my clio with std speakers and really happy with how it is and sound quality. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

after market head units always sound good with stock speakers lol

my old astra was the same...
its cause the standard head unit is probably like a 50watt or something... after market generally higher...
