Hey guys,

I just KO'd my side skirt whilst turning at a sharp angle underestimated it . oh well, Hope everything else is alright.

Im in need of a new side skirt, dont know whether to just replace the whole bodykit with a mugen replica?

How much do you reckon side skirts go for OEM from Honda Australia?

is auto plat the one selling on ebay? They seem to be the only guys selling the replica kit on ebay. At this very moment, im not too sure if the damage has affeced other parts of the car but looks like side skirts smashed in. On the FD, how come the side skirts look connected to the body of the car. What I mean is, it doesn't look seperate? Is this a cosmetic thing?

If this is the case and I find out its my side skirts, Mugen replica is the way to go for me and then a couple of hundred for the paint.

i bought my kit from them. Side skirts dont fit properly. Im gonna go to another installer and see if they can fix it up. If not, going to source some side skirts from elsewhere. Anyone else bought the kit from autoplat and found any problems?

I was lucky that my kit I bought fits perfectly for front and side; but rear needs about $50 worth of work to make it fit and blend in perfectly with the car.

Jace: Does your side skirt sit as high as the lower part of the door? Any pics?

Sorry no pics yet. It was only a trial fit yesterday as it's not painted. Will be on the car for next weekend though :)

so you guys dont suggest auto plat mugen replica?

hmm im in need of side skirts as a matter of urgency. I might get a quote from smash repairer and see how much they can get it in with fitting+paint.

How come it looks like the side skirts are connected with the body of the car? compared to other vehicles, side skirts, rear bumpers all look seperated but the civic looks well blended without the appearance of the lines.

I'll take a photo of the damage and you guys can judge on the damage.

I don't know what the damage looks like but my mate really wrecked his side skirt and he got quoted approx $450 to fix it (at a mate's rate). It's the back quarter panel as well which needs to be fixed and it's a white car.

In other words, maybe you're better off buying skirts.

no photo of the damage yet . haven't had the time too
called a honda dealership parts dept of a few dealerships in syd and got quoted $649 for colour coded pair of side skirts just it just the matter of fitting it on. It will end up costing under 1k I assume, on the other hand i guess it will be more worthwhile with the replica.
