Hey guys, i'm new here and i'm planning to buy a 2nd hand civic ek hatchback. May I know which models have the b16a series dohc engines? Thank you.

EKs came in SiR but were only released in 99-00 and were Canadian from memory

ek's most definitely came out with SiR.. here's an example..

the jdm ek's aren't labelled 'VTiR'.. they're branded 'SiR'...
also sporting the b16a engine minus the sunroof which we get here with our 'VTiR's..
oh and you won't find them here unless they've been privately imported.. or rebuilt/rebirthed..

as others've said, jap spec Vtir = Sir (without sunroof) bigger horsepower B16A and lighter (no sunroof)

thanks guys for the info. vti-r or Sir it is. Just wondering though, any shops around melbourne that does engine checkin and overhaulin? If i found a car that is.
