gbox compatability

can i use a gearbox from a d16 efi engine on a d15 carby engine? if so, any mods needed?

cant give you an answer on compatibility but check to see waht type of gearbox the d16 is vs the d15.

i.e. hydraulic gbox vs cable gbox.

i know for my F series engine, i can use F22, F23, H22 and H23 gboxs. (as stated on an american accord site)

same mounting (gearbox housing) , but the input spline on the input shaft may have different number of splines , and the driveshafts may not be compatible ( different splines)

tell us exactly what 1.6 EFI engine ( D16a8 , d16y8 etc) and what carby engine and we can help

wotever engine comes in a eg gli and the carby engine is a d15b4

yer it will fit i just match them on tuesday while doing a engine swap but i dont know about d16a as they a dohc
