Does anyone know if this is a good Turbo? It would be for my d16y4 96EK1 Civic Sedan. It looks small but he said it was the equivalent to a T3 Turbo...
Cheers!

Mate, its $30. Even if you don't use it, its good to have as a paperweight.
Also the you'll need to get a new manifold anyway to make it fit your engine.

i've got a write-up of a b16 running this in the US. Theirs came a differnt car can't rem which. It was apparently fine. It had the smaller rear but was maxed out at like 16PSI.
The only issue you have is the manifold setup.
I'd stick to a garret or mitsubishi as they have better quality turbos and better support. Also if you need to rebuild it you are gonna need access to parts and i never heard of much in terms of parts unless your gonna goto ford? Which could cost you.

Thanks Limbo! So it works! How much are the Garret or mitsubishi Turbo's?
If it does fail,I could just swap in another couldn't I?

Yeah.It looks like it's the smaller stock turbo for them.An upgrade would be the TD04.
> It looks small but he said it was the equivalent to a T3 Turbo
too generic.
If you gonna go a second hand.
1) Check the exhaust manifold pattern, that'll determine what manifolds are available.
Garret T3 and T25 are almost standards in the aftermarket world.
2) A very generic metric of turbo capability is the exhaust turbine outlet area.
Assuming small 4cyl engine:
5cm ^ 2: mild OEM type unit.
6cm ^ 2: quick spool
7cm ^ 2: hold on.
8cm ^ 2: running with EVO's
The turbo might be cheap, but it's only a small piece of semi-reliable build.
