WILL A SUMP FROM A B16a FIT A b18c2 ? :)

Hey guys.
i need a new sump for my B18c2, will a sump from a b16a fit well ?

I read afew things and herd they are the same, as they have same block...?

You better of looking for a B18C oil sump due to the design of them. I had issues before when I was using a B18A oil sump and it did not clear my jdm headers. From what I believe the B18C are slightly bigger then a B16A oil sump.

But to answer your question yes it will fit

I think I have a b16 sump lined up.I might just try that shortly. But the question still remains, does anyone in Brisbane have a B18 sump they wanna sell ? ( or know where i might be able 2 find 1 ? ) :P

B18C2 sump has P72 on stamped into the base, if B16A has the same then yes

The answer is no...
The B18C has a girdle on mains 2, 3 & 4...
The B16A does not.
So the B18C requires a slightly deeper sump to accomodate it's deeper windage tray.

You can fit B18C sump to B16A without issue, but not the other way around.

i guess i have a spair b16a sump then and i have 2 buy a B18c sump...

next question. would a B18cR sump work in my B18c2?

i think the Type R is more baffled ( better), should u get 1 ?

since spoon has a different one for b16 and b18, but mugen one has a universal b series one. i understand that oem b16 and b18 is different as b18 holds more oil.

IMO.... it makes no difference if you base it on a 16a or 18c sump.

im sorry i doubt you, its just i have a B16 sump already sitting next the car and i dont know what to do ( not wanting 2 blow up my motor or spend an unneccary $200+)

Don't doubt Mr. Toda. He is right.. I know from experience that B16a oil pan won't fit a B18c.

Like said above. the b18c sump fits b16 but not vice versa...which would mean if mugen have a sump that fits both it must be based on the b18c sump

Mugen oil sump is OEM honda P72 b18c oil sump with their own baffled design.
