I recently bought a X force muffler that came of a eg just like mine...

However, once you align the bolts for the b pipe to bolt on to the muffler, the muffler sits slightly off the "cut out" on the rear bumper.. So i'm left with a muffler touching the bumper and a tinnny bit off the "cut out" where it should be!

As i don't want bumper rash / melting occuring, how would i fix this?

I was either thinking

a) new rubber things.. so the arms of the muffler sit lower, thus the whole muffler sitting lower and not touching the bumper..

b) standing on it and hoping it doesn't break.

Can anyone help me here!?

i aint got my camera right now.. it's comes back friday!

What i can do is take a photo on my phone tomorrow and post it up..

I know it's hard without photos... but i'm guessing you know on the rear bar where the exhaust goes.. theres a lil section cut already so your muffler can sit nicely.. mines pretty much crooked LOL and sitting ON the actual bottom of the bumper, not in the cut where it should.

That might help i dunno. I'll post photos tomorrow when it's light mate

Thanks though!

you can loosen the bolts on the system then line it up and then tighten the bolts.
That's what they do at the exhaust shops.

If it doesn't move enough, you might need to get a blade and cut the rear bumper slightly

I would just take it to an exhaust shop.Shouldn't cost much at all.
