Hi guys, just wanted some advice on whether I should try this cheap mod of replacing the stock auto gear knob:

Disclaimer: Don't really need the debate of turning an auto into a manual looking car, cause honestly I just want to improve the interior.
So do you guys think this would work on Civic FD auto? I have seen someone done this in the DIY section but the pics in those posts are all dead links... Also thought it's good to share if it's good/cheap product + easy mod.
Cheers!

^ those look nice but I have to admit, I quite like the feel of the stock Civic auto lever. It's quite nicely textured- unlike some of the crappy older autos from the 90s.

^^ Make sure you get a knob which has the correct thread diameter and pitch as the one used in the auto Civic. No point getting a nice knob and then finding out that the AC Schnitzer knob uses a BMW thread diameter and pitch which is different to Honda.

that's the problem mate, can correctly measure the pitch until item arrived:thumbdwn:
will try to modify the pitch (removed).

Try sending an email to the seller to find out before hand. If the diameter of the AC schnitzer knob thread is much larger than the Civic, you can get a thread adapter to go between them.

Can someone just ban this moron? Double R has made one dumbass comment after another.
Maybe when he gets off his oestrogen pills he might calm down a bit.

Agreed! I cringe when I see the sort of vehicles he's talking about on the roads but they dosen't give you the right to bag someone who obviously likes it.It's the old 'If U ain't got nothing positive to say they don't say anything'.If you go by this easy to follow rule you will be a much happier person!
