cant get my eg seat out help

HELP im tryin to get my civic eg drivers seat out but the bolt on the left side from the back wont come loose with the spanner and i cant get a socket in to the bolt cuase the seat wont move forward enough!

how can i get it out? does any1 know where i can take in or around the Armidale area?

a ratchet n socket 12mm or 14mm (cant remmeber) should do the job

i took out my seats the other day no hassles. maybe ur seat got jammed which is why its not sliding forward enuff

get some wd40 or grease spray on that nut

WD40 on the bolt, and use a socket with an extension if there isn't enough space for your ratchet. After you are done, check the threads on the bolt and on the chassis. Make sure that they are clean and burr-free. You might need to use a re-threader to clean the thread up.

its a 12mm nut. Dont use a adjustable spanner or spanner , use a SOCKET with a decent ratchet on it. And a spray of WD40. Be careful not to round the bolt end ( this happens easily)

yea it must be jammed cause i cant get the socket ion there even, but will check today,
have sprayed it yesterday so maybe it loosened the seat, any ideas what would be jammin the seat from comin forward?

5 cent coin which fell from your pocket? Push the seat all the way forward and check if there is anything on the railings. Check if any of the railing stop "teeth" are bent.

oh well got the seat out finally, but nothin stuck or bent, so swapped the rail with passenger 1 for now, will have to find 1 somewhere!
