hi guys,

just wish to check if anyone here has the cusco rear sway bar on the DC2R and what's the thickness? I did abit of reading on the net and forums but most of the information i found is about the strength of the bar based on percentile.

and also, did it help to neutralize the car or create more oversteer?

cheers

I'm not 100% sure on the thickness however i can help you on the effects of installing a rear strut.

Just recently a mate has installed a JDM rear strut bar on his DC2 and found that it very noticably stabalized the rear end and prevents as much oversteer in the majority of situations....

His setup is as follows....

DC2 VTi-R
5Zigen(KYB) Coilovers
Whiteline 22mm Swaybar kit
Stock VTi-R Front Strut Bar
OEM JDM ITR Rear Strut Bar

Andrew

i tired to look up the thickness too. but no luck. even the stupid cusco website is useless even in English version. best to ask Jdm Concept as he sells them.

yup, got confirmation from an overseas source that the cusco size is indeed 25mm.

I am looking at whiteline rear swaybar as well and currently waiting for a trader here to get back to me on a price :)

The Cusco rear sway bar is 25mm... it will stenghten the rear more, and hence create more UNDERSTEER.

if you reduce rear or increase front sway bar diameter will you increase tendency to understeer.

eeerrr.... incorrect.

Bigger rear = reduce understeer

errrr... well it made my car understeer a shit load more :)

So got rid of it. Looking for harder rear springs :)

Good luck with testing man.

That's what I was told... so tried it... totally the opposite... it UNDERed, asked mechanics that actually raced Honda's and they told me it makes it under too. Higher rear spring rates will make it oversteer.
