Just thought it would be interesting to see what peoples averages are on
Fuel & Speed considering it gives you all the information..

mine is pretty much all city driving...

Fuel - 9.7L/100km

Speed - 35km

Mine is currently 8.1 but i try not to rev the car above 2500rpm and i accelerate really slowly, now and then I hit Vtec and then it goes to like 8.6.

I also use BP ultimate if that counts, mostly city driving.

I don't know why but I average 10.5L/100Km on the Safeway Caltex 95RON. Does any other fn2 owners use caltex petrol and what kind of average consumption are you guys getting? I'm not sure why mine is so high.. I do 50/50 city/freeway driving and only vtec it on average 2-3 times a day? It's pretty shocking my average is so much higher than you guys.. I mean.. even lukits is lower considering how hard he drives his fn2 :P

Have you tried 98 RON to see if there is an improvement? The station might be filling marginal 95RON, and causing your knock sensor to send a signal to the ECU to add in more fuel for knock protection.

I don't know why but I average 10.5L/100Km on the Safeway Caltex 95RON.

Use a 98ron. eg. Vortex 98.

Hey Reothe, I duno bout those safeway caltex petrol stations... to me they have dodgy written all over em....

maybe try a different type of petrol like mobile 8000 like Jtune suggests and see if there is an improvement in petrol consumption

95 RON comes from the same source as Shell, BP, Mobil, Ampol, independents. Nothing wrong with Safeway Caltex. Go for 98RON.

my average started at 10.8L/100km and i thought i was driving so carefully...
but its all the little things which make it jump so high...mine is slowly coming back down...

i use 8000 from mobil...

lol yeah, better change to 98RON by the looks of things. I tried the shell optimax once and noticed it was more fuel efficient when I drove it hard. The 95RON seems to be just sh*t. They should recommend 98RON from the start for the ctr :P

First 10000 kilometres 10.7/100 V Power
Second 10000 kilometres 10.2/100 Vortex 98

Ive found i get better fuel milage out of Vortex 98 and ive been using vppowr for 7 years.

lol looks like 10.5L/100km isn't too unusual from running on 95RON then.

Obviously you don't have a civic type R :)

My 2 year old jazz does 6.8 I cannot see how a CTR can do that :)

mine 8.9 on avarage , i always drive 50-70 normal road, (gear changes 3k rpm)
and i adjusted speed warning 105, so i never goes 105 on highway

so if your avarage above 10, i m guessing you must drive hard sometimeand
vtec kick in ,
lol
