how do you guys go about setting up your cold air feeds? (to your stock air box or pod filter intake)
where to run the pipe/hose? under or behind the front bumper?
what type of pipe/hose you used?
any advice or pics will be helpful. cheers!

run it behind the front bumper, facing forward so it will be catchin the air as it comes in.
its a small difference but something to think about - have you ever felt how hot the road gets in the middle of the day.the tar is fu######king hot,you dont want your COLD air intake to turn into a hot tar intake.so face it forward, not down under the bumper

Here's what I did.In the 3rd pick U can see I put 2 collectors on 2 of the 4 pipes.I bought them from a plumbing shop and painted them black. The piping is 76mm and fits in the Y joiner perfectly.
I still gotta build an air filter box...I got the plan of attack, just gotta do it:

good example for you

wow thats excellent.
but looking at the pics, the front bumper has been modified, creating more room for piping?
is the above still possible with a stock front bumper?

nice mrwillz.so now joe as you can see CAI's are like girls, two is better than one and you want them facing forward sucking in,not down flat hidden under the bar

With the design pictured, there will be no are "sucked" through those pipes, the filter needs to be in a sealed box fed by the pipe for it to work.
That design relies purely on ram effect and is essentially a short ram intake.

Something like I have done works well, see post #9

correct.its a half cold intake sort of thing.providing the short ram intake with colder air.but its not ideal.i think the thread starter said he was going to be doing it whilst retaining the stock airbox

kinda seems like a whole lot of effort for about 0.5kw.

single pipe would probably do the trick. i just have the bottom half of my airbox removed and the butt dyno doesnt record any notable differences due to heat soak
