Hi

I am a newbie to Honda since my purchase of an 05 Accord V6-L. (19400kms)

In my previous vehicles I have had H4 Phillips Crystal Vision 50% H/L globes.

I checked Phillips website and there seems to be some advancement in globe technology. Information available at

http://www.philipslighting.com.au/Philips-Upgrades.htm

Just wondering what experiences drivers have had from these globes. As you will see the only legal ones are the first two.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Geoff

They are a very expensive globe. At ~ $120 a pair, I would prefer to buy MTEC bulbs at $70 a pair posted (from a certain trader here).

However, I have seen them in operation and they are very bright but at times blinding.

The problem as Sireal pointed out is that they are very very expensive.

So you place a car with these globes with a car that has OEM and a Car with Cheaper say Mtec ones and i can tell you the OEM will be much brighter than the Philips and Mtec ones put together.

The other option that Sireal wouldn't approve is HID... LOL

mate for that price just get hid's.
Ebay!, just look at reviews by buyers to ensure your getting a decent product.

i have the MTEC H4 extended wattage and my friend is an auto elecy and rep
for phillips so he gets em cheaps. he always has the latest and has the
phillips xtreme powers now on low beam they look like high beam lol

and well he can cast a shadow a really detailed shadow of me in the tree with
low beam

it all depends on whether u are after looks or brightness and clarity???

phillips halogen globes you cant go wrong for brightness, clarity and quality

i have the CrystalVisions 4300k ones on the euro and they have a very slight blue tinge in comparison to the BlueVisions 4000k currently on the other car. CV provides waayy better light than BV, so thumbs up for that.
regarding CV not being approved for road use, police arent going to be able to tell the difference between 4000k and 4300k, unless you're installing fully blue 6000k HID kits.
i bought mine for $100 at autobarn, so big rep to phillips crystalvision:thumbsup:

Hi

Put a set of HB3 and HB4 ... Phillips +50%.

Very nice, runs rings around standard.

Thank you for the advice.

Cheers
