okay i've done a bit of poking around and have come to the conclusion that only the eg6 and dc2r have eyelet lower control arms at the rear as standard
the dc2/4 and any eg(exclusing the eg6) has a fork style rear lca like the ek's
i just want some conformation on whether ek shocks(fork rears) will fit to a dc2/4 stock lca's
can anyone confirm this?

it fits but need to shave the LCA bushings since EK fork is narrower than EG/DC

yes SHAVE the middle of the bush ( since its metal) Not worth it. Just swap the actual springs off real DC/EG and fit it in.

hey? mate needs new shocks because his shocks with 280,000+k's on them have seen better days
just wondering whether ek ones fill fit otherwise we'll have to fit dc2r rear lca's into the budget

ek ones will not fit. Fullstop.
Just tell your mate to get some second hand shocks quite cheaply
you CAN shave the bush down , as said but this is not worth the effort.

I picked up a replacement full OEM coilover system (factory shock/spring/fork/tophat) ready to plug and play for $88 one side. Plug n Play yo!
Dirt cheap. From wreckers. If you can get the whole system withot having to mess around with the top hat, spring compression, etc, then thats a better option.
