You can import one, but you cannot road register it. The only way now is to live overseas for 1 year, own and drive the car for 1 year and migrate back here with the car and proof.

there is a guy in WA who imports UK type-Rs and can have them on the road for about $30k, he is the only one in western australia (or maybe all of australia idno tho) who has the license to import them.

Maybe that is why we are getting lots of people saying that they are getting FN2Rs for $38000 drive away. boom boom. :)

That is the EP3. You can import EP3R as it is in the SEVS list. FD2R isn't.

umm no.

Not on this list, not coming in unless it is a private import or brought in through Honda Australia (with relevant safety testing done).

I'd be interested in the details. They can't import it through SEVS, if it was through CAMs, it wouldn't be road registerable (only track), and if it was through private import, how would that work since the FD2R hasn't been out for a year yet.

Wait a sec here... I'm CONFUSED!!!! so your friend import n drove a FD2R? or the UK Type R that they import for 30k????

Pics with you/your mate diving them will prove the truth...

Its very obvious that its not fd2r as you can see the seats are not fd2r bucket seats, im pretty sure that is aus civic fd1 or fd2 coverted to jdm fd2r by changing frnt n rear typeR bumpers, fd2r front side fenders and typeR side skirts or they're might fd2r replicas because its out n the market. Even the whole break system isnt brembo so how can that be a real fd2r.
