camber kits...hmm..

well, atleast for the swaybar...IF u have a egor Ek civic - u can use a DC2 vtir or ITR rear sway with minimal mods - much better than teh 14mm stock toothpick !

OR u can just go to Whiteline in Minto - hand over ur folding stuff and let them make up a 21mm new swaybar and castor kit...

*thanks Win...ill have my cut now :P *

dont just get a camber kit and swaybar becoz u heard about it on some US site...research it alittle first to understand what si stock, and more importantly what u can replace it with !

Whiteline make good swaybar kits for civic's.... They also have camber kits for the front as well...

Or you can get someone to get a Skunk2 camber kit from the States.

Hansen,

The Camber kit is for the rear or front?

In terms of the sway bar, i'd have to recommend Whiteline because Woijtek there knows his Hondas. Their R&D car is a EK Vti-r Hatch with coilovers.

While you're there i'd also recommend a caser kit along with the rear bar. The other beauty is that they do a top class wheel alignment with a top class alignment machine!

Well worth the trek to Minto.

PS: I made a thread awhile aback about my civic whiteline kit.

HOw big a bar do you want? I'm thinking minimum 21mm??

luzinit, read the tech sticky for some infor on sway bars.

Bigger bar = less body roll/understeer with the risk of the tail getting a bit 'happy' round corners.

Stuff that!

I'm gonna order it and get Whiteline to deliver it to me, then get da friend at work to fit it for me for half that! :D

Then send it to them to do da wheel alignment after I fit da new tyres.

Change of plans...

Just gonna get a Camber/Castor kit, then get wheel alignment closer to work rather than go all da way out to Minto. :)

I've bought da whiteline front camber/castor kit, now I just gotta fit that, swap front tyres to da rear, fit da new tyres at da front and do a complete wheel alignment. :D

Camber AND caster kit or just the camber kit?

The caster kit is basically a bunch of washers and a longer bolt ;)

I definetly got da camber/castor kit whcih consists of accentric bushes and some urethane washers...

The place I'm gonna do da wheel alignment for me, I'm gonna just get them to put in some washers to bring da back out a little to reduce the negative camber.

Do you guys recommend a castor AND camber kit? Or will a bunch or washers suffice?

B, your car hasn't been lowered so I don't think you need a camber kit. Of the two, I'd probably recommend the Caster kit though.....as well as a bigger rear sway bar :)

Ok thanks. That will probably be my first mod... unless you recommend something else?

Maybe start a new thread B?

Well for around $400 you can make your car handles like a dream. I have no doubt that for $400 a bigger rear sway bar and a castor kit will give you the most noticable improvement to your car.

I so need to get my Camber/Castor kits installed cause wit da rear tyres in da condtion they're in, my rear end is coming out a bit around corners in da wet! :x

I just need to wait till my workshop at work is available so i can get it fitted.

Who cares about the wet........I don't as long as it sticks like glue in the dry :)

No I don't push my car in the wet

 More hassles wit my car wit da rear camber! :x

Bolts aren't long enough 2 fit da amount of shims required!

So I need to bring da car back into da workshop at work and check da size of da bolts and then purchase da new size bolts.
