Hi Guys,

Long time reader, first time poster..

Anyways got myself a Fujita CAI intake and tried to diy install it today in a '06 with the help of some of the forum threads.

I've come across a problem, if you look at the red circled area on the picture..

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b231/aiballer/DSC01766.jpg

I can't get the hose/pipe to line up, tried to jiggle it and move it around but it doesn't seem to align?

It did come with an extension pipe fitting but that doesn't seem to be any help.

Does anyone know a fix for this or should I keep trying?

Cheers
Ai

thanks for the reply,

i dont think i can extend that hose, theres another pipe joined to that main one held on by a bracket..

Can i cut that bracket and bend the main pipe over?

What does the big pipe on top do?

Cheers

take out that bracket and just run long hoses just the same as the green i drew

the big pipe is the oil breather hose i think ..

ok will give it a crack tomorrow and see how it goes.

Did anyone with the Injen or K&N kit have this problem?

EDIT:

Ok did some more searching and apparently the metal pipes come off completely

injen doesnt have that problem..the 2 piping that connected in your pic now, is removed and rerouted.
injen also provides a small tube thingy that replaces the top piping.
like this:

try the injen instructions from thebottom half of the second page onwards http://injen.com/galleries/products/SP1431_directions.pdf

I've taken a picture for you just now, and basically what i did was take off that block with the 2 outlets and connected both the hoses together.

you'll love the end result, but sadly i'm bored of it already and I want more powerr!!

How are you fining the loudness Junyu? If you lay off the throttle it ok.

That install is correct.

I managed to get mine intalled through the wheel well but i dont have foggies.

Get a dyno done eh?

I should have dynoed the Fujita and Comptech back to back before i sold my fujita to you.

Anyhoohey ill dyno the comptech and Jtune and see how we go.

Yeah it's almost as stock under normal driving, then screams when it's at wot.
I quite like it, I don't plan on getting a dyno yet considering i've only got a cai.

But thanks for the easy transaction :)

oh btw, you sent me a little metal hollow cylinder, where does that part go? I've had no problems without it but i'm curious as to where it should be?

awesome its installed!! thanks for the pics guys and the injen instructions are very clear!

the hollow cylinder goes inside the top rubber tube and connects to the reducer piece, which also connects to the black box thing like in honki3rider's picture.

JunYu do you get a good seal with the way you've connected it?

i managed to install it without taking the bumper off.. i just took the wheel off and the fender lining and the black cover next to the foglight off.

i think it's been covered before in the civic section, your not meant to put a breather.
