hi all,

im pretty new in this forum.

just a question or suggestions regarding coilover springs.
i bought a set of coilover springs from the states. i have already installed them and they are good when adjusting the height. it varies from 1 - 4 inches. the only bad thing is the ride comfort.

just wanna ask for any suggestions or ideas if i should replace the standard shocks to achieve the desired ride comfort..

or should i just go with lowering springs? is there any brands that i should look out for? im looking for a 2-2.5 drop.

thanks guys!

A good set of shocks will probably fix the ride problem.

The spring rate's are most likely too hard for your original shocks.
An adjustable shock should help you.
I would say right now the spring is doing nearly all the work because the valving on the oem shock's cant keep up with the hard springs.
How much did you get them for including shipping btw?Thx

yeah i thought it was the spring rate that was causing the problem.
it never used to do that when i was using the compressed springs.

i think i would rather change to lowering springs than change the shocks.

i got it for $148 aus delivered from california..

thanks for all your helps guys!

won't any lowering springs still have a hard ride with std shocks??

The spring rates won't be much better??

Well just getting new shocks won't fix it. It's also because of the quality of the springs. I personally have Ground Control coilover sleeves and KYB AGX adjustable shocks. One thing you should know is not to cheap out on suspension.

If you want that kind of drop and have comfort, I don't think you'll be able to get it. You have to compromise somewhere. I've dropped mine about 40mm or so and my ride is a little harsh sometimes but so worth it. At least all my gear is quality and adjustable. Koni Yellows are also a option for shocks especially with Eibach springs, other than that get true coilovers.

well i guess ur right on not to cheap out.. the shocks are dead now anyways... just gonna get new ones and just install the compressed standard springs...

I guess you could just do that if you want. Are you planning on upgrading sometime anyway? If you are, you might as well upgrade now and save some labour money, cos otherwise you'll be paying someone to pull out your sussy and put in back in twice, unless you doing it yourself that is (which is time consuming, I did mine).
