if i m to DIY a set of CTR style headlights... wat sort of paint should i use... do i need those high temp paint?? or just normal paint ?? thx guys

you can do this to eg headlights also (using same process), but the black won't be as visible as on the ek headlights. all you can paint on the eg headlight is the ring around the main reflector. not really worth the effort i reckon. used to have them on my car till an accident broke one of em and i ended up getting projectors.

i m doin this on my EK... so i dun worry too much abt doin it on an EG

is there any way, i can buy the CTR headlights? instead of spraying myself
cos i dun feel very confident, as i have to put it in my oven!!!!
my mum will think im crazy

use a hair dryer, you dont need to put it in the oven.

i also considered buyin a set... but they cost a fortune....so i reckon DIY is the way to go

i ve done it... and it turned out very nice.... the oven bit is not tricky at all... just dun make the temp too high...

Just wanted to ask... does it actually affect ur lights? as in the projection/brightness/etc of ur headlights?

no.. not all... when u take the lights apart u ll know y... the bit that is to paint in black has nth to do with reflectin any light beam...
this is a close up pic of my DIY lights.. sorry took it with my fone... bad quality... but just so that u get the idea...

and the orange dot that u see on the lights r just reflextion of the car thats in front of mine...not a faulty job... :D
