might even be some back up fuses in the box under the steering wheel
there was in my old civic. just check the diagram

check for loose or D/C wirings if not most likely a blown Fuse somewhere..
if it still doesnt work, rewire and connect everything step by step again to make sure.

thanks for the advice.....

finally replaced the fuse w/ a backup fuse and everything started to work fine... although 10 mins later after having the stereo on.. the thing died again....

was it just because of a bad fuse or could it be something else that lead to blow the fuse?

also could i use a slighty stronger fuse so it wont happen again?

what the last electrical have you installed? you might have to run thru all your power line again like the acc and power on the head unit etc its shorting out that why you keep blowing fuses

The last thing i installed would have been the head unit and that was over a year ago... i have no clue with electrical stuff so and advice to help me get started would be appreciated.

check for any open wires at the back of the unit..might need to re-tape the wires?

sounds like loose wires.

did you solder your wires or use secure method of tapping into harness? as that could be the reason of why it keeps shorting.

my advice, never get things installed by strathfield etc. most of them over charge..unless you no the guy or 'no of' the guy fack it and get ur friend to do it. but yeh check lose wiring, this happened to me except instead of headunit not working it screwed up my rear lights (non of them worked).

Got it done over a year ago and didnt know much about wiring/electrical stuff, even till now.... i've been living without music and its all good, was thinking to get rid of all the ice for weight reduction=performance.
