I am doing a cooling system flush before a trip around Australia in my 2004 MDX.

I want to use a concentrate engine coolant, so that I can do any top ups or maintenance while I am away. What do you guys recommend for the Honda MDX?

The Honda dealer I tried only sells a blue pre-mix.

The new honda coolant is blue. make sure you bleed the cooling system good before you replace it-thats a long procedure but needed.

Fair enough but is the blue Honda stuff available in a concentrate? If so, where do i source it as my dealer claims there isn't one.

Failing that, will using green Nulon Long Life Coolant at 35% mix be ok in a Honda?

Just use the premix. Why do you want to use the concentrate? To save a few dollars? You bought an MDX, not a cheap beater.

No, don't mix Nulon coolant with Honda's coolant. You have to drain the Honda coolant out, flush it with water and then fill up with the Nulon.

Because my coolant changing machine requires a concentrate, not a pre-mix.

Why not change the coolant the traditional way without a machine?

Dont realy recommond you use a coolant changing machine on the mdx done it before dosent work to well leaves to many bubbles in the system.just warm it up and drain it from the radiator and block.would only use the honda coolant.
