If someone wanted to purchase a Spoon B18C engine, where would one go to in Melb? I know they need to be shipped out from Jap but just wondering if anyone has any exp. or know some place that can put me in contact with this area.
Thanks

I agree, you dont have to go brand names, 9 times out of 10 you can go the generic brand for half the cost.

you should get a JUN engine

nothing wrong with OEM... balanced internals with a spoon headgasket.
if you want a better oem replacement then why not spoon? it would not = massive HP but is still a bfyb engine in my mind. I myself would like to know who can get one as well as i will be looking for a replacement unit in the next 20K.
But then again if you only want to go fast down a straight line then forget about what i just said.

screw that, I'll do you some magic.. ANYBODY can call up the spoon factory and order an engine.
Have you looked into 'The Beast' motor ? is based on a BRAND NEW DART B-Series BLOCK etc..

Once again, read the original msg. I only wanted to know who to contact through here in Melb to get one and not for any opinions on worth or not worth it, sorry maybe i wasnt too clear about that.
Thanks tanghy, ive heard a lot about JUN also but not much about reliability, do you know any JUN supliers in Melb?

I will order direct from HK, beside Spoon and Jun, you can consider J's Racing or Feel's (http://www.hondatwincam.co.jp/info/tuning.html)

Does Jansen roam these boards? he does on clubrsx - brissy guy who ordered the spoon crate - however the price difference between spoon/toda/jun crates aren't all that much spoon being N1 spec - the rest uprated.
And he's right - he's not asking for opinion, just where to buy :D
Everyone has a different need/purpose. If he wanted to race in N1 - then spoon is the way to go due to tight regulations on modifications.
:D
if all else fails....just email Spoon.jp, and hope for the best that they can read english, and direct you to a contact here. :)
gd luck.

you are pretty much a fool for wanting to run one of these on the street....for the price ( excessing $10,000 for JUST the bullet-proof build...excluding the delivery etc) there are FAR better things to be spending that kidan cash on....how about a downpayment upon a house or something ?
Just paint your cam cover yellow and get some spoon socks. Same effect as...
" err I have der SPOON engine"
*lookers around look into engine bay *
*Der is no SPOON dood ?!?*
