Ok, basic question, so hopefully a basic answer and we can all get back to work :(

I've finally got my defi oil temp guage hooked up on my built turbo d16a8, and was just curious as to average temps any of the other turbo d guys are running.

seems to sit about 85-90 when warm and i'm babying it (depending on ambient temp)
moves up to 95 when i'm seeing occasional boost
and jumps up to around 105 when i really give it some for a longer period.

not too worried, but just no real benchmark as to what is normal running temperature!

thanks in advance guys!

Hey man,

Haven't got a D but the temps seem normal & fine.

Where is your temp sensor situated, have you got a cooler at all?

Na thats cool. Just wondering cause some people put thier sensors after the cooler and of course ya gonna get a different reading. Just pays to ask is all.

I got a b series but same thing. Mine sits at 90 degrees also hits 95 degrees when i hit it abit. It doesn't move much cos i got a small oil cooler. I'm looking at getting a bigger one to cool it down abit more.

You don't want it too cool man. Your temps are perfectly fine. Even a higher temp is good.
