Typhoon Air Intake System? I bought the Gen II FIPK, because my friend has one and said it was really awesome, but then I saw the Typhoon intake, and I'm just not sure which one to go with.

For s2000? If you didn't already know the typhoon intake comes in three different styles CA (cold air), CCA (complete cold air) and SR (short-ram). So it depends on which you're looking at.

K&N claim the following:

FIPK
9.55 HP @ 6500 RPM

Typhoon CA intake
5.62 HP @ 5220 RPM or
6.7 HP @ 5500 RPM

Make of it what you will. But if you've already bought a FIPK then I don't think you should bother looking at the typhoon. I would say that any gain would not be worth the $$s to replace it with a tyhpoon. BTW ...where did u get the FIPK from and how much, if you don't mind me asking?

Have you fitted the FIPK yet? If so, let us know your thoughts on its performance and sound.
