I can't see there being any difference.

(correct me if wrong).

if you want to fit recaros into a vti-r, you'll need to use dc2r recaro rails, not your existing vti-r rails..

So the DC2R recaros won't fit onto vti-r rails ?

if the dc2r recaros + rails are complete.

it will fit right into a dc2 vtir..

but if you buy a dc2r or any recaro in that case with NO rails.. u cannot put vtir rails onto the recaro.

thats from my understanding

agreed. I had DC5R recaro's in my VTi-R and i used DC2R rails to fit them in.

I looked into fitting them onto my stock VTi-R rails but it was too much work.

has anyone had any troubles with fitting because the vtir has the centre box while the dc2r does not?

does this have to be removed or does it fit with no troubles?

dc2r recaros will fit fine in a vtir even with the centre box in, only prob is that it will be hard for u to adjust the seating position

is there an easy solution to this?

ie take out the box?

but then i'd imagine u couldn't do that without taking out the whole thing and replacing it with a itr bit instead?

but when u say hard do u mean there's a bit of friction? or u can't get into certain positions? cuz that would b annoying.

switch the passenger seat with the driver seat..
then your knobs will be on the outside rather than the inside.

oh, didn't realise the adjuster knob was on the inside

i thought u guys meant that the seat would rub on the centre box.

alright cool. as long as no one else has any probs.

thanx

beta get recaro rails, rather modify std vti-r rails (can actually weld on recaro).

yea thats given

i was just worried after seeing pix of the ITR interior and noticing that ITR's don't have the centre box for all ya crap that u'd rarely use. so i wouldn't miss it if i could remove it :p

doesn't look like i can though. o wells.

it does rubbed btw, the box creates a bit of friction when the seat is reclined forward and backwards i have marks to prove, but that doesnt bother me

definately switch the rails around and then all you need to get is a slightly longer bolt for the rear left of the driver side and im pretty sure the rear right of the passenger seat as well. Other than that it should only take about 15 to 20 min for both seats swapped
