is the amp bridgeable?
if not, can't use a sub.
and will only power 2 front speakers
if it is bridgeable
you can run the sub OR 2 front speakers.

nope cant do that u either bridge it for sub or power a set of speakers
for this applciation you better off use a 4ch amp where it can utilise ch 1 and 2 off the amp for the front speakers and then ch 3&4 bridged for teh sub

Response Car Amp 4x100WRMS
If you are looking for an ultra-powerful 4-channel amplifier then the AA-0426 is an excellent choice. Power output exceeds 100WRMS power channel or 300WRMS in bridged mode at 4ohms, making it ideal for a one amplifier system powering both full range speakers and a subwoofer. There’s also fully variable high and low pass filters between 50Hz and 500Hz, with pass thru RCA outputs to link this amp to an additional AA-0424 2 x 150WRMS amp to drive your subwoofers, or better still the amazing new AA-0428 Class-D subwoofer amplifier.
Specifications:
Power / channel @ 4ohm 14.4V: 130WRMS x 4
Power / channel @ 2ohm 14.4V: 190WRMS x 4
Power / bridged @ 4ohm 14.4V: 380WRMS x 2
Signal/Noise ratio: >90dB
Input sensitivity: 200mV to 5V
Low pass filter: 50 - 500Hz @ 12dB/octave
High pass filter: 50 - 500Hz @ 12dB/octave
Pass thru RCA: Yes
Dimensions: 400(L) x 258(W) x 50mm(D)

can a two channel amp supply the front two speakers and a subwoofer? or can it only supply the sub ?
Answer: Only If It Is Bridgeable
how?
Run your front speakers from channel 1 "left" and channel 2 "right" then take
the positive from 'channel 1' and the negative from 'channel 2' and connect
your sub to that...
Edit - ^^^ what he said

hmm i u might need to run resistors to split the signal going to the speakers to do so

No, you cant use your amp to run the fronts as your sub
you would need a dual-voice coil sub, to take equal drain from the amp on the left and the right chanel, or to run both your fronts in mono.
and your amp might have a high pass/low pass switch on it. your front's wont sound very good if you switch it to low pass, and if you switch it to high pass, your sub wont sound very good.
I have seen a 5 chanel amp, and that is purpose built for fronts rear's and a sub. but you said 2 chanel, and i say no can do

well all im saying is that i used to run my bostons off my hu when i had my s2000, then i added the amp, and it sounded about teh same (seeing as teh s2000 sucks for sound anyway).
i put the system into my current car, evo9 and it was ok but i wanted some punch, so i put in a jl audio sub tube, and im getting the punch that i want.
honestly, for the money i have spent, i have achieved what i want.
purists will argue til they are blue in the face about sound deadening, listening only from cds (i use an ipod cable), tuning their system to the nth degree, etc. but for me, as long as it sounds good, i can live with it.

you changed from a s2000 to the evo 9? and which car is better? i would be saying the evo9, hmmm, some guy told me that mitsubishi driver's are gay and have too much money, lol, i wanted to bash him so badly, I have an evo wagon, it has a pair of 12's and it's LAF

what evo wagon do u have? im guessing its a personal import if thats the case as u cant comply them normally
as far as which car is better. the s2000 was by far the better car to drive, much more fun. superior in build quality, and much cheaper to maintain.
the evo9 is much quicker, but i personally dont track the car. long story to why im driving the evo, but my brother used to own it and he didnt like it so i sold my s2000 to take over teh evo.
i dont know why a mitsubishi driver would have too much money as the s2000 is actually the more expensive car to buy. so in actual fact, im downgrading.
anyway, the evo is good in its own way, i can actually hear the music now as teh s2000 had shitty acoustics, u just cant get decent sound in a convertible

na, i have 2 cars in nz, and 2 cars in australia. the car i mentioned is called a libero gt, originally had a 4g93t in it, but after i threw a rod thru the front of the block, i transplanted a 4g63t, the car come standard with an evo intercooler, i dropped in some je pistons, arp bolts, eagle rods, full balance, copper gaskets, bigger injectors. all i need now is a new computer and a td06 probably a 20g, and i'll be good for 2 bar all day.
hmmm, honda nsx = $250k, mitsubishi evo = $50k, there never was any comparison.
I'd never considered the accoustic quality from a s2000, could you hear the sub when it's way out the back in the boot? I imagine the boot would be behind where the roof comes down?

i never had teh sub in my s2000. i originally had just the speakers, then i added the hu, then i added the amp over time.
then i sold the car and then i moved all of that stuff into the evo. but i felt it lacked punch. so i put the sub tube in. i just put the tube behind the passenger seat in the footwell. and its working out fine. i got the punch that i wanted and its cheap and quick
as far as a sub in the boot of an s2000. i have seen it done, but never heard it. im sure it works, but how much it loses is the question. it needs to get past the roof well, plus if u have the roof off, it needs to battle the open air
