Hi guys,

I've recently gotten my car serviced, and now some issues are occuring.

I have been told this has to do with the TPS? I don't have alot of expereince with this so any help would be much appreciated.

The problems are as follows:

After driving for short distances when the car is cold - onto getting warm - I stop the car put it into park and put the hand break up, then the car will rev up and down non stop without my foot on anything.

Secondly the car jolts forward when it's changing gear between 0-20kmh then each time when it goes higher and higher. (I mean like a violent jolt)

It also falls out of gear when driving and seems like it struggles with going down the gears - as I will break to go down the gears and it will jolt back up with I release the breaks.

This usually doesn't happen when the integra is warm and has ran for a good 1/2 hour, but seems to always do it in short runs.

My mechanic has recommended replacing the TPS, and piping connected to it, but everytime I go to show him these errors never occur and he says he really can't fix the problem is unless he sees it.

If anybody has expereinced any similar problems with their Integras or Honda alike please let me know.

I'm thinking of going to see Nordic Honda to pin point the problem - Specialist in Honda, but of course they are more pricey. But any info i can pass onto my mechanic would be great!

Thanks a million!

hey mate, i had this problem aswelll, from my experience it is not TPS sensor but instead it is the throttle body. the butterfly in the throttle will most likely have a small opening which causes the fluctuations in the revs ie: going up and down even when it is warmed up.
To fixed this problem my mechanic re-adjusted the butterfly so that it is completely closed when it is on neutral or idle.
Let me know how things goes buddy

note: i replaced all my throttle body sensors and bought another b18c throttle body before finding out what was really wrong with it

Try the iacv or how ever you spell it, the idle air control valve, i had this problem with my old b18c, first thing to do is check for error codes.

Thanks the problem is, he plugged in the computer to read the codes and he said that the 1999 Integra didn't come up with any codes..

Does anyone know why this is? or the correct code to enter so he can check the errors?
