Pretty n00b question.. is it even worth considering new headers and/or exhaust on a '94 Integra VTI-R?

Or is it too rice?

No other mods on the car yet, but it's in the garage for a slight overhaul atm, so something simple like this is on the table..

Thoughts?

i would start with intake, i put a Fujita (injen will do the same job) CAI on mine 1st and it gave me a better sound (quieter down low and a lot deeper from mid to high), it gave me better throttle response down low and better fuel economy

than get your headers and cat and catback done all at he same time, its easier to buy them peice buy peice but get them fitted all at once

also get 4-2-1 headers if it is a street car, 4-1 headers will be only really high end power, 4-2-1 retains more mid

let us know how you go =)

i've got the same car and i don't see anything 'rice' about adding the mods u've suggested.

some might even say it's standard/normal upgrade (subjective to the person)

but it'll give u a much more enjoyable ride but I do suggest you figure out ur goals b4 u start buying parts incase u change ur mind later on and decide u don't want a huge roaring cannon anymore.

mugen twin loop for the win for exhaust, get the flow of a canon with the sound of a F1 car =) and at low revs its the same as standard lol

alternatively X-force make a cheaper version of the twin loop

Get catback first, then intake, then Headers..

if you make the car suck in more air, where is it going to go? If you can, do them all at once.

Yeah, I guess it's not Altezza lights and blue neons :p

Yeah I was thinking about the X-Force twin loop ^_^

Heh, so true =)

Well, it came with a K&N CAI, so I'll just leave that in. I'll definately look into a quality catback then the twin-loop (depending on my budget, so probably X-Force lol!!)

w00 being poor and can't afford things ><"

Ja.. they also have a 4-2-1 header as well.. any thoughts on that vs other brands (ie Mugen, Toda, etc)? If they're all mandrel bent, all the same length, etc, is it just a brand we're paying for? Or is there acutally technology behind it?

i thought all jdm ITR headers were 4-1?

if your driving on the street/track get 4-2-1 becuase it will retain your mid range as well as high
if you are doing 1/4 mile drag racing or high speed ring circuts get 4-1 because they are all high end

i would recommend toda 4-2-1, toda cat, and mugen catback for the best,
5zigen 4-2-1, jdm cat, and mugen catback for a high middle set,
5zigen 4-2-1, normal or jdm cat, and x-force twin loop catback for middle set,
x-force 4-2-1, x-force or jdm or normal cat, and x-force twin loop catback for budget minded

i did alot of shopping around + research last year when i bought my Mugen catback and i was gona go with the high middle set, save up and buy each peice at a time than get it all fitted and tuned with a Apexi VAFC2 all at once
