Hi guys,

Have some issues with rattles in my doors at certain frequencies when stereo on.....I'm having trouble pin pointing excactly where the rattles are coming from. Both doors doing this (rattles) rear parcel shelf and left tweeter doing this now too.

Was told that I should look for :

Audio System Test Disk/Frequency Sweep CD

These discs play different frequencies and help to pin point rattles in doors, etc.

I've heard that honda have a disc similar to this in the america(s), but can't seem to find it anywhere....

some help would greatly be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Alright sweet. Do you know what frequency it starts at? Can't people only hear from 18-18k htz or something? Anything under 18 is for feel (the rumble sensation) even though it is inaudible?

Hey LXRY,
would you happen to know where to find a frequency test that starts a little lower frequency? I assume that lower, less directional sound waves could make more rattle than high frequency ones.

Hey Averson,
Not too sure what burnt vc's mean, but are you referring to the health of car audio, or to your hearing and long term audible range?

I know that if you listen to a certain frequency too loud for too long, and you get that "ringing" in your ears, that is the sound of the frequency receptor dying and you will never be able to hear that frequency again.

someone before mentioned if they could get one that plays lower tones.

most car audio headunits do not play below 20hz, and 99% of music has no recording below this, as its the limit of human hearing

If you all want an actual test/bass cd I can ship you all some or you can order from TermPros store (http://www.termpro.com/storefront/). If they are out you can also check Ebay for these cds, they are pretty cheap, like $12 US.

Look under:
DB drag
Bass Mekanik
SPL Shoot Out
SPL Test CD
Alignment CD

You can acctually download a frequency generator and record the frequency down, then play it back...

however the quality will never come close to those like Bass Mekanik, USAC, IASCA test and the various high end audio grade test CDs. Its like garbage in garbage out. Audio system is worth thousands, but not willing to invest in audiophile grade CD sources.

After listening to SACD hybrids, you will loath MP3s :D

Lxry,
If you are joining the Euro Cruise, I can bring my collection out for you to test.
