Happy with my new Ody 08

hi all,

just picked up my new ody 08 this morning......
feeling good..... and very enjoyable so far....
very responsive on gas padel,
the Fog lamp was good even without the front spoiler.....
i m a happy user so far....... waiting for my rear camera to be installed next week....

anything that you can recommend?
btw, i have add the option of iod adaptor from Neo car audio, the sound is very good.....

as i am not a frequent washer for my car......
i think black is nice as looks cool..... and really go well with the chrome trim..... so i believe you have the khalis colour in leather, right?
when i picked my ody yesterday, honda launched a promotion as comes in 5 years warranty and rear parking sensor... but then i asked my dealer, he told me that it is only applied to MY07 Ody. can anyone comment on what he say is correct?
but so far it has been consuming quite a bit of petrol,
i m having around 14.3L/100km in city..... :(

I went for the black interior, that's the reason I got a black Odyssey. As before it was only offered in baige/ivory interior.

I was a choice between silver and black for me too, but ended up with black as it's cool with dark tint.

Not sure if the promotion only applies to 2007 models. But it's a good deal, pitty the promotion didn't start sooner.

yeah.... what a pity if i can delay to buy my ody for another 2 weeks... then may be i can save around 1.5-2k.... anyway, i just hope what teh dealer said to me is correct....and mine is MY08 Ody, so can't really enjoy the promotion...
anyway, i was stucked in the traffic jam quite a bit in the past 2 days, so cousuming a bit more petrol, may be i should check in a month time to see how the consumption looks like.....
heavy foot for me, no.... as i have a small foot print.... hehe quack quack...
no regret to buy this Ody so far,
btw, what options did u add to the Ody?

I got a 08 build/complianced one too. Dealer was pushing a 07 one to me in the yard, but it wasn't a black one. as I specified black on black.

I didn't take any options. Dealer said they are loosing money selling that one to me. I think it's bull, but anyway.

ended up getting odyssey carpet seperately, tinting done through a friend of mine and I installed rear parking sensors myself.

my 08 ODC started at about 14l/100km but its slowly getting better, it drops down alot when you do country driving

I Love the Oddessy,they look so damn sexy with a couple of simple mods.Lowered + Rims and tyres would be the first thing I would do.I personnally love the black.If I needed to buy a people mover car this would be the one hands down!

i hope the petrol consumption will be improved since i drive it to work daily.
have to save up money for upgrade the car as i have already quite alot of money on it.
i got the odyssey carpet, weather shields, fog lights, rear parking sensors from genuie honda, then the rear view camera, ipod adaptor, bluetooth phone system and tint window from dealer fit-in.
very enjoyable .....

I got Silver as well because of the black interor. I originally wanted a Pearl white one, but the wood grain put me off.

Your consumption should go down after a while.

today i drove it to work and realised that i ahev around 180km on the odo, the fuel consumption drops from 14.3 to 12.9L/100km....
i guess i m getting under 11 soon... hopefully.......
teh only i need to get used to this car is the front distance of the car, as it is a bit short....
does any one know if there is a front sensors i can install for my car which can help for my parking?
if so, how much would that cost?

your engine is still tight, the consumption will lower as you run it in!

also honda give deals and better prices on runout models because no one is going to want a new car built in 2007 when it is 2008. even though they offered you that stuff, its still better that you went for the 2008! otherwise ur car would be seen as 1 year old already haha

after about a few thousand kms the fuel mileage will drop well for me it did im now averaging 10.1L/100kms,
also i noticed that after 20000kms the car feels very responsive

just had my reverse camera installed, very good......
and also, the fuel consumption drops to 11.8L/100km after 5 days of driving.... getting better ....

I find that a wierd place to put it. I would have expected that they would have put a monitor/mirror over the existing rear view mirror. When reversing, the mirror would switch to LCD mode. Can double as a front LCD screen also.

the dealer also suggested to replace the mirror and installing the similar one as yours. but i used to have my long 320 degree convex mirror to fit on the standard reverse mirror, therefore, i prefer to install it as a standalone one.

+35 but im running on 245's all round so i dont think itll be a good choice lol
