Is it a good idea to buy a 2nd hand accord euro now or is it better to wait until the new model is released (and hope prices for the old model plummet)?

Wait. The price of the old model will always plummet after the new one comes out.

Please posts questions about the Euro in the Euro section please. Moved.

Id wait...you would get a newer car for less money.....relatively.

Alternatively since interest rates are up....that also causes used car prices to drop too but its a double edged sword as of course....car loan rates increase too :(

As long as you're not fussy about model/trim etc. Stock will be low if you wait.

OP was talking about 2nd hand Euros, not new CL9 models.

i was thinking about this too...

i'm in the market for a euro my06 or newer, but im torn as to whether i should buy a 2nd hand one right now, or wait til the new model is released and hope to get a 2nd hand current model then, for much cheaper hopefully?

OR, is there a chance that the price of the current model (Brand new) will 'plummet' to around the price of the current model 2nd hand when the new model is released? during the runout sales and what not.

any thoughts?

It will be cheaper during runout sales. But as splashalot2000 said, your choice of colours will be limited. I also find that dealer rather throw in more accessories and sell it to you at the same price than to sell the car at a lower price.

that's true.

i guess its way way too optimistic for me to hope that i could snag a manual luxury cl9 in arctic blue for 30kish brand new.

should i wait until the new euro is released, and then hunt for a private used my06+ cl9 maybe?

too difficult!

Manual lux might be rare when the new model is released. Maybe $37-38k driveaway? $30k is doubtful.

Wait for the next gen euro to arrive, then the price should drop even more.

should wait either way if your not in a rush. when the new model comes out aug/sep i last heard prices of new and 2nd hand ones should drop, but when the new model is out it will be quite quick when the stop selling the existing euro so sales for the new model arent effected, as ppl have already said man/auto colour sat nav options will be limited and most importantly they wont lower the price much instead of 37-39 + on roads, you might get a drive away price and some dealer accessories but not much else. so dont expect a huge discount for waiting.
