Hi Mod Gods & Peasant Members.

Not a major issue.

But i for one, am sick of seeing parts for sale/cars for sale threads.
Getting stupid comments like 'nice car or good parts'
and 'free bumps for good guy' along those kind of lines...

Sale threads get spammed so much with that kind of junk.

Are mods gonna crack down on these sort of posts and hand out infractions or warnings?

I believe that it is far more annoying than spamming in a lounge thread.

Thoughts/Discussion Please.

KTHXBYE

True story, but unfortunately very hard for mods to go through every single one of the threads.

Up to moderators i guess.

See what others have to say on the sale section since it makes up such a big part of ozhonda.

But wait , there IS mods ust for the FS section

CTR Coupe, SiReal, Q_ball, tRipitaka

If you see these "free bumps" - then these mods arent doing their job properly. Eh Q ball ?

FYI i scout thru the FS section often and remove any free bumps. These are not allowed , IF you as a member see them , REPORT THEM via the button or better yet pm a mod thats online to remove it.

sometimes u get free bumps which have already been superseeded by the thread starter, so its useless moderating it.

We are never on Ozhonda every minute of our waking lives so a bit of slack would be great. We DO have lives.

Having said that, I do try my best, but I do fail sometimes as well.

benjamin.

I think mods have too much to do these days.

Perhaps its time to go back to oldschool.
Give mods certain sections that they can concentrate on.
Now that mods have powers everywhere, they can't moderate any section properly. They just do bits n pieces of sections.

Specialisation is the way ben.

I offer to put my hand up for for sale section specialist by myself.

I agree.

Jeff is by far the best moderator in town atm.
Not afraid of the politics involved and favouritism toward other members.
He does his duty as a moderator and does not give a flying fruit bat who you are. You break the rules, u feel the wraith of Jeff.

TOP WORK !

I vote for DNT-CRY to be the mod for sales section.

Or IAMVTEC at least.

Nothing appears over run.

But there appears to be immature influence in more and more aspects of ths site everyday. Your comments from post #11 onwards are an example.

Guys there isnt a major issue with free bumps. As stated if you are overly offended do something about it and Pm a mod to remove it.

We as mods get around to it as we see it.

I find the two posts above contradictory. I also find it contradictory that you were once a moderator and then resigned because you thought nothing could be done......ie raised some issues and then quit because you couldn't change things.

Worst part of that is he's a user that has been on here for years....eh Chi.

ANyways......I've said this before and moderators can only do so much.......we can't see every single post and act on it......but what we can we do.

I don't think it is as bad as it was a little while ago but only way to get things in shape is to tighten the rules further........but then some complain that there are too many rules!

Say someone selling a car...

Then you post say "Man, really mint car, seen it irl, excellent condition, gl with sale", thats considered a free bump according to OH's rules...

bennjamin

A free bump =

Any reply that is off topic or lacking interest to the original thread purpose.

ONLY reply to a For sale thread , IF you have genuine interest in the item/s for sale.
