Hi,

I did a DIY CAI for my 97 Integra VTi-R. I made up a 4" pipe that fit in the standard air box! hehehe... My question is that I noticed that the engine is idling lower that it did before? Is this normal? And will the computer adjust itself so that it will compensate for more air going into the engine? One last thing is that it feels like to engine is vibrating a little bit, you can just feel it. I thought it might be because it is idling lower??? Can anyone shed some light on the problem??

Cheers
Juan

is 15mins sufficient enough?

according to all the other threads it is so i'll be inclined to believe the majority...

i personally leave mine off overnight and remove the ecu fuse...

Take out negative in battery and either leave it out for 15 minutes or step on the brakes until the break light fades i.e. no power left.
Then let the car idle for another 15 minutes to adjust air-fuel ratio

the idle should not be adjusted at all - did you change anything else ? IE touch any vacuum pipes etc ?

Thanks for all the replies, reset the ecu idle is fixed but still lower then before and he engine is running smoother normal amount of vibration .. I did the fuse removal way, idled for 10 min. seems to be all good now... Any thoughts??

I'm having problems with my idle fluctuating aswel. More noticable after my Mugen intake was put on (dc2r).

Let me know if the problem is solved after you reset the ecu theuan101.
