Hey guys, new here, did a quick search and didnt seem to find much. I have been looking at wheels for Accord Euro, but not sure what ones fit?

According to the TempeTyres site, using the wheel wizard, Accord Euro's are 5x114.3 +40?

Are those the right specs to use?

The mugen rims for the Euro are +48. So i guess anything in between should work.

soo, between +40 and +48? would be better to get more towards the 48 end then the 40 end wouldnt it?

Yeah, higher offeset like above +42 to +55 is usually the range most Euro owners look at. +40 may be a tad low, but around +45 should be safe. I know some other Euro owners that run +35 and stuff. Which require rolling guards coz the wheel sorta sticks out and isnt flush with the guard, making it look like lol.

ahhh ok cool, well if it helps Im looking at 20" (and NO not chrome)

well it is it +40, thats better then +35, so might be able to get away with a camber kit yeah?

OEM rims are +55.My rims are +48.+45-+55 is the ideal range.

no more then 8.5 wide?

is there any other shops on the net that have a nice big gallery for me to browse through? :)

no more than 8.5 wide ay?
Yeah get above +45 to be safe.
If its lower than that your wheels might stick out past the guard.

im running +42 offset and it sits flush with the guards on the front and about 1cm in from the rear guard.

camber kits should be fine i would think, but too much and you'll be replacing tyres every 3 months.:p

davidrotheray
06-05-2008, 07:00 PM
well if +42 sits flush at the front, +40 would stick out maybe...1cm or so?

so either way getting the guards rolled would probably have to be done.

I'll have a look around and see what other rims I can find that I like with at least a +42 or better offset. If not i guess I'll just have to roll the guards and camber kit it:(

thx for your help guys:)

well my old car ran a 35 profile, but from looking around, an accord has to run a 30 series profile with 20s? pretty rubber band like lol

20x8.5 +45 offset... if i had + 40 at that height, i'd have to modify the bumper and the mounts to make it clear between the bumper mount and tyre, at the moment its around 3-4mm gap.... guards are rolled as it was less than a pinky gap along the lip on the top of the arch... car rides fine no scraping nothing...

so yeah DONT go lower than +45... 45 is best for 20" a higher offset will rub on the inner guard over bumps, trust me even + 45 did before i heated up the pastic and cleanced it out.

your going to wanna get 225/30/20's btw, otherwise the tyres will scrub too :p

Ok cool, so nothing less then +45 offset.

So you basically only rolled the guards, and with a +45 offset, 30 series rubber, it rides fine?

I will have a look around and see what I can find. How wide are your 20's? 20*8, or 20*8.5?

If you only like to browse through different wheels try the following:

Unfortunately not many australian shops has updated their website frequently.

if you need more info about offset:

My euro had 235/35/19 with width 8 and offset 48, everything is good, no camber kit,no guard roll and no rubbing

If my car was that low with that profile tyre i'd never get out of my driveway and with the shit Sydney roads the tyres would'nt last a week. How much were your tyres?

More and more people seem to like that look - not sure why. 20"s just don't look right on the Euro.

Wow, they really look like 22s or something, lol

I didnt think 20s looked 'that big' on the euros, wow, lol, or maybe its just that rim that make it look bigger then it is?

Maybe I should go 19s?

Can someone post up a pic of 19s on a euro, and one of 20s on a euro, please (prefarably taken from same angle so can compare difference - yea i know the difference is 1 inch incase there is some smart ass's on here:p)

Thanks guys

Mr747 has the same wheels as siknis in 19's! search it :D

i think the rims look HUGE because of the low profile rubber bands on them.
id hate to ding a rim driving into a pot hole..

Heres a link I found to MR747 Euro, 19s look tiny compared to those 20s, but I guess because it hasen't been lowered and all, as I personally think lowering a car makes the rims look bigger sometimes, dont know why?

depends on what rims you have, the positioning of the rims lip makes a difference, wheels with outer lips look bigger than rims with inner lips.

BTW VOLK CE28N FTW!!!!
what colour is your car?

his car needs to be dumped on its ass and get its guards rolled to look hot or even just enough to be hidden under wheel arch.

everyone is going for VIP style hence the 20"

plus 20" will kill fuel economy terribly.

Who's running 20" how much fuel you use per tank averaging a week?

hey guys, just another query i was thinking about getting some 18x7.5 replicas but they only come in offset 40, would that be over pushing it as it might stick further out from the guards?

anyone with offset 42 or less that can shed some light.

You can get them machined to take the offset to +45 i think.

7.5" with +40 should be pretty flush with the guards.
i have 7" with +42 and it sits about a couple mm behind the guards.
hope that helps.=]

Is flush taking into comparison of the tyres to guards or just rim to guard?

The guy i bought my rims from said not to go lower than +45 as the extra 10mm offset could put added stress on the suspension components.BTW i've got +48.

+48 shouldn't have any problems. Good to see the guy you bought your rims from knows his stuff. some seller just sell wheels you can't even fit properly (and safely) on your car.

7mm less offset i'm sure is ok.True, some tyre places out there just throw anything on just to get a quick sale.

Adelaide tyrepower looked after me with some wheels, very helpful.

225/30/20 are the tyres size if wanting the 20's and safest to have an offset of 45+ to avoid issues.

i'll roll it just in case anyway...

and it really depends how much u lowered it. how much is a little?

whats ur tyre profile?

how much camber u got?

19" should be running around 35 profile which in the case of lowering a little it's best to have it rolled just incase from when in full turn you may scrap.

Hey, i'm running 18x8 +42 and it sits flush with the guards. I'm lowered 2 finger gaps at the front and there is scrubbing on bumpy roads.
