View Full Version : airbag
just a question;
if you replace an air bag, is it possible to just unplug it and replug the new one on for passenger side?
or is there more things you needd to do?

1st disconnect ur battery for awhile...make it 10 mins to be safe. (remove NEG terminal)
Then disconnect away.

you should be right. just make sure you disconnect the battery before doing anything. this will prevent any accidental airbag explosions and will stop the airbag warning light from illuminating.

Newish cars have a separate "ecu" just for airbags, so that might need resetting/replacement too.

if the airbags where deployed from an accident the ECU must be replaced as well.
changing the airbags is as simple as disconnecting both battery terminals and 3min after removing the airbags and replacing them.
what car is it ??
