Hey guys, I have a ef9 with a b16a and I don't have any manuals.

For all you DIYers out there can anyone tell me how many litres of oil I need for an oil change? I know normally you need about one litre for flushing, but how much do I fill the engine with?

thanks in advance

To be safe, drain the oil, change the filter, lower the car off the jack stands. Then fill in 3.5L, wait 3 minutes and check the dipstick. Add more if required.

Whatever you do, USE A FUNNEL!!

I poured oil in my bfs car cos I cbf getting one from the garage. It leaked into the spark plugs. his car didn't run properly after that. Luckily it got fixed hehe

^ thats why you pour the oil in with the bottle tilted to the side and not have the mouth at the lowest point
stops all the oil trying to rush out of the hole :)

remember to fill to the top just before the engine oil cap.
just like you would a drink bottle or cup,

Are you on drugs?
Filling the engine oil up to the oil cap? That's flooding it....

If you are unsure, just use the dipstick to measure it like Aaron mentioned...

 now why would you fill it straight to the top..thats completely retarded...if someone where to do that they really shouldn't be anywhere near a car in the first place

how do you look at the dip stick? do you look for the level based on the brown oil colour or the really clear oil colour? thanks

According to the manual: The capacity of a B16A (including filter) is 4L.
