Basically the title speaks for its self.
I Have a d16y8 engine. (sohc 1.6L vtec) in my coupe
its done about 190### kms. (a lot i know >< )

i was thinking about tuning it.
just a basic dyno tune, as described by the tuner

"new plugs, oil etc, run the car up on the dyno and check your air fuel ratios, and play around with the timing"

does anyone know what the "etc." could be.

soooo.
i just wanted to know people opinion,
is it worth spending money to tune my engine.
or should i just spend it on clothes lol.
:)

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Any car is worth tuning.

Do you have any performance modifications?

If not add some performance orientated items

(intake, header+exhaust & possibly a cam etc, to make the most of the tuning, & overall results)

erm if u wanna have fun with it and look to improve daily drivability.. Den its worth spending maybe $1k to improve it a lil.. If you want it to be fast eventually, save ur $$ not on clothes but on a B18C conversion..

Dun tune it unless u have intake, headers & exhaust.. you wont gain almost anything..

U should get I/H/E b4 tuning.. Also, new oil etc should be done in service..plugs are advisable but u wont feel a diff..

So i tink u should let us noe more info.. to help u further..

ive tune my itr with a hi-flow cat and sri with an emanage blue.
seems much smoother to drive and fuel consumption is better.
im happy with the way it delivers after tune.
