i just fitted in a straight through muffler and i wasnt happy with the note, the guy told me the farty noise will go once the carbon burns off. Is this true? if not how can i make the tone deeper and less farter?

no the noise will stay.

The best you can do , is either fit a longer resonator ( if the cat back has one) to reduce the raspyness of the tone , or change your muffler.

The tone does change slightly abit deeper after a few days but only the pitch. The fartness will still be there.

Drive it for a few more days and see what happens the guy might be right, cos i've seen some werid things happen with exhausts.
