should i sand b4 i clear coat or just put on the clear coat. also, do i sand the clear coat after???

light sand after every layer, don't bother being half arsed about it
either way it's going to look funny since its practically near impossible to match the colours with rattle cans
in any case to answer your question i believe it would be
light sand>clean>clear
rinse and repeat however many coats you want then polish and wash
better yet grab an old piece of metal and practice on that before you go spraying your car

it is a spare fender so i thought i would try haha......not risking it as i dont think it will turn out that good haha....cheers for the quik reply..... although if i sand it.....and then clear, will the clear give it that gloss or is it the finish on the actual paint??

the clear will give it a gloss but its the polishing/waxing which will give it that glass look
