DC headers - Ceramic 4-2-1 - Cost $400 approximating as i bought UR pulley with them.
Cant compare besides with stock, find it farely easy to accelerate/redline more easily, it doesnt have that sluggish feel and delay anymore. Once you change it you will feel a noticeable difference.
In my opinion i just wanted a bang for buck mod.

P.M EuroAccord13 and see what he says in technical words about the DC headers as he had it installed years ago, unless he replies to this beforehand.

Hope this helps.

Ebay Topspeed Stainless steel ones. $350 AUD landed. Fitted myself and have had zero issues also. Decent increase.

Forgot to add.Engine is more willing to rev to redline and is more responsive through the rev range.Definitely money well spent.

Secret details. But it is something that I wouldn't recommend to others. LOL. I got it because it was cheap. Now I am too ashamed to mention which header it is. :)

in my opinion yes, but only can compare with the stock one which is pretty crap not much of a hiss only slight. welding could have been done slightly
better. As you get what you pay for....DC headers does the job but if you want good stuff go toda or maxim but you would be paying a bit more than twice as much than DC.

toda seem to have good gains, and personally would be my preference but i would hesitate to say that at over $1300 they have good bang for your buck.

Can anyone comment on whether their headers make the car sound louder or change the exhaust note at all?

I've got Comptech headers with stock cat back exhaust and have noticed a marginal increase in noise.

Crapdaz
12-05-2008, 08:02 AM
i cant tell you how loud it is due to when i got my dc headers installed as i got RT hi flow cat too at the same time but after a weeks driving and wearing in the parts, it was very noticeable and louder. (IMHO i think it's mainly from the hi flow cat itself but changing headers as tony1234 said would have marginal noise increase)

My header ( topspeed) hardly increased noise. Slight raspy rumble. Any Aftermarket Intake will be louder.

Im getting a hi flow cat but am worried about additional noise.

With my header, I get a ringing sound. Did you get that with the top speed header? I think I might have a leak..

with hi flow cat noticably louder exhaust... you get a nice flexi pipe hiss from the TODAs.... i like the sound... but atm with my setup and RBC intake i get annoying resonant hum at 2,500rpm... trying to change exhaust now

Hate to burst your bubble... I like MagnaFlow but is your one a Ceremic or Metal one? Got a model number?...

SuperCat Metal Cats flow better than MagnaFlow's Metal cat and can withstand higher temperature.

Any cat that is not ceremic packed is better if you are after good performance. it is less restrictive and can carry higher temperature before breaking down.

As for Magnaflow, I would say model 91004M Cat would be good enough.
